Erik Smithson is a Sydney-based architect with over twelve years’ experience designing and delivering bespoke residences. As an Associate at Stafford Architecture, he worked on numerous houses across Sydney’s eastern suburbs, developing a deep understanding of finely detailed residential design.

In 2023, he founded Erik Smithson Architecture, a studio dedicated to creating homes of enduring quality. Each project begins with the needs of the owner as well as a strong relationship to site and landscape, and grows through collaboration to ensure the architecture reflects the way people live. The practice is defined by clarity of form, honesty in materiality, and a commitment to crafting homes that are built to last for generations.
